Hotel Harvest: one platform for the whole property

The challenge

Hotel y Restaurante Harvest is a 55-room property in Retalhuleu, on Guatemala's south coast. A property that size juggles a lot at once: a front desk taking reservations, a housekeeping team turning rooms, payments and invoicing to reconcile, a restaurant, and a website that needs to bring in direct bookings instead of paying commission to online travel agencies on every stay.

Running each of those on a separate tool means separate logins, numbers that don't agree, and OTA commissions quietly eating into every booking.

The solution

Harvest runs its entire operation on FluxPMS — front desk, reservations, payments, housekeeping and invoicing — with staff across multiple roles using it every day.

Its own website, hotelesharvest.com, is built on the same platform and carries a 0%-commission booking engine, so a guest booking direct is revenue Harvest keeps in full. Because the website and the PMS are one system, rooms, rates and availability stay in sync automatically.

The owner doesn't have to log in to see how the property is doing: FluxPMS sends a daily Aria briefing to Telegram.

The numbers

After a DNS recovery restored the website, direct bookings resumed with a full guest cycle: a guest booked online, stayed at the hotel, and checked out — the whole loop running through FluxPMS end to end.
