FluxPMS Internship Program

Build for real hotels. In production. From week one.

A structured 4-month academic placement under your university's practicum framework. Engineering and Marketing tracks. Fully remote.

Cohort: Next cohort 4 months · 20 h / week Remote · async-first Unpaid academic placement

Two tracks

Pick the one that matches what you're studying — or want to be doing in 12 months.

Engineering Track

Laravel + Livewire · React + Tauri · PostgreSQL · k3s

Ship production features on FluxPMS — the same codebase paying hotels use today. Pick one tenant-facing surface and own it end-to-end: design through deploy.

  • Real GitHub-issue-style tickets, real PR review by the founder
  • First merged PR ships to production inside week three
  • Final cohort deliverable: one shipped feature + technical write-up
  • GitHub or portfolio URL required to apply

Marketing Track

Content · Social · Outreach · CRM · Case studies

Run real revenue-generating campaigns. Publish case studies of paying hotels. Build the inbound funnel for the next cohort of customers. Measured outcomes, not vanity metrics.

  • Own one campaign end-to-end (cold email, social, paid, or content)
  • Final deliverable: 1 published case study + 1 active nurture sequence
  • Direct hand-off to founder for review and approval before publish
  • No degree in marketing required — taste and clarity required

What you get

No salary, no benefits package. But what you walk out with is worth more than three months of pay at most internships.

A real production portfolio

Your work ships to paying customers, not a sandbox. Link your contributions on your CV with a live URL.

1-on-1 mentorship with the founder

Weekly 1:1, async review on every PR or campaign, full architectural reasoning shared in writing.

Premium tools, paid by us

Claude Code access, GitHub Copilot if needed, design tooling, infrastructure sandbox. No "use the free tier" theater.

Recommendation letter on completion

Signed by the founder, specific to your work, in English. A concrete account of what you shipped, not a template.

Priority for paid roles

If you ship and we have budget, you're the first call. The cohort is also a recruitment pipeline — for us and for the companies we know.

A team that ships in English

All work, code reviews, and meetings are in English. Your written and spoken English level out by the end of the program.

Requirements

Strict, on purpose. Filters at the door save everyone time.

1

Active university student

Any country. Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related. Recently graduated within the last 6 months counts.

2

Letter from your university tutor or practicum coordinator

PDF, in any language. We'll countersign your university's practicum agreement after the offer.

3

English at C1 or above — written and spoken

Self-reported. We verify via the writing sample and (optional but recommended) a 60-second intro video. No AI-generated text.

4

For Engineering: GitHub or portfolio URL

We look at real code. No need for it to be polished — we want to see how you think.

5

National ID or passport scan

For the university convenio and the recommendation letter. Stored privately.

6

20 h / week for 4 months

Flexible hours, but the time has to be real. Confirm with your tutor before applying.

FAQ

Is the internship paid? +

No. This is an unpaid academic placement under your university's practicum framework. What you walk away with is a real production portfolio, mentorship, a recommendation letter, and priority for paid roles. A discretionary completion bonus may apply for exceptional performance — it is not promised and not periodic.

Can I apply if I'm not enrolled in university? +

No. The program requires an active university enrollment + practicum letter from your tutor. If you graduated within the last 6 months and your university still allows post-graduation practicum, that counts. Otherwise apply through /careers instead.

What if my English is B2 — strong conversational but not professional yet? +

We require C1 or above. The whole team operates in English: code reviews, async writing, customer conversations. B2 means you'll spend half your time translating instead of shipping. Come back when you're at C1.

Can I apply from outside Guatemala? +

Yes. The program is open worldwide as long as your university provides a practicum agreement we can countersign. LATAM, Europe, US, anywhere.

What does my work week actually look like? +

Async-first. One 30-min sync per week with the founder. The rest is yours: pick up a ticket, ship, review, iterate. No standups, no daily theater, no busy work.

Do you accept AI-generated writing samples? +

No. We can tell — the patterns are obvious. Write it yourself, in your own voice. Imperfect English beats polished AI prose every time.

Apply

Our next cohort. Applications close when we've filled the slots. Earlier is better.

All team interactions are in English. C1 or above required.
