The Booking Fee in Practice
Little Hotelier's entry plan looks cheap at $39/month. Here's what it costs a real property:
| Monthly booking revenue | 1% fee | Total Little Hotelier cost (entry plan) |
|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $50 | $89/month |
| $10,000 | $100 | $139/month |
| $20,000 | $200 | $239/month |
| $30,000 | $300 | $339/month |
FluxPMS at $79/month is a flat $79 regardless of how many bookings you take. As your occupancy grows, the gap widens.
The Pro plan at ~$109/month removes the booking fee. At that price point FluxPMS at $79/month is still cheaper and includes the website builder Little Hotelier charges extra for.
Who Little Hotelier Is For — and Where It Stops Fitting
Choose Little Hotelier if:
- You have 5–10 rooms and want the simplest possible setup — Little Hotelier is specifically designed for the smallest operations and is operational in under a day
- You're already deep in the SiteMinder distribution ecosystem and don't want to remap 450+ channel connections
- You want a product maintained by SiteMinder, one of the most established names in hotel channel management
- You have very low booking volume (under $5,000/month), where the 1% fee barely registers
FluxPMS is the better fit when:
- You're booking more than $8,000/month and the 1% fee is erasing your savings
- You want a hotel website available on the same platform as an add-on package
- You want Aria to handle guest questions automatically without adding another chatbot tool
- You're growing toward 30–50 rooms and don't want to re-platform when you hit Little Hotelier's ceiling
- You want country-pluggable tax compliance — Guatemala's FEL live today, more countries added per demand
How to Migrate from Little Hotelier to FluxPMS
- Export reservations. In Little Hotelier, go to Reservations → export your reservation history as CSV. Download guest profiles separately from the Guests/Contacts section.
- Note your connected channels. Open your Little Hotelier channel manager dashboard and record every active OTA connection. SiteMinder connects to 450+ channels — list which ones you actually use (most properties use 5–10).
- Set up FluxPMS. Register at fluxpms.com/register. The setup wizard covers room types, rate plans, taxes, and policies. Budget 2–3 hours for a 15-room property.
- Sync your OTA calendars. Today FluxPMS syncs availability via iCal — paste the iCal link from each active OTA to keep calendars aligned. Each connection takes about 10 minutes. Two-way channel-manager sync is not part of FluxPMS today.
- Build or connect your website. If you were using Little Hotelier's add-on website builder, you can migrate to FluxPMS's built-in website builder (included at no extra charge). If you have a custom website, swap the Little Hotelier booking widget for the FluxPMS booking engine embed.
- Run parallel for 48 hours. Keep both accounts live for two days to catch any reservation coming in through channels not yet remapped.
- Cancel Little Hotelier. Little Hotelier is month-to-month — no long notice period required. Cancel at the end of your billing cycle.
What does a 10-room hotel actually pay?
Both vendors publish their prices, so this comparison uses each vendor's own published figures for the same 10-room independent property.
| FluxPMS | Little Hotelier | |
|---|---|---|
| What a 10-room hotel pays | $79/month flat (Professional) | About $109/month |
| Setup / onboarding fee | $0 | $0 |
| Price published on the website? | Yes — $29 / $79 / $199 at fluxpms.com/pricing | Yes |
Competitor pricing verified August 2026 from Little Hotelier's published price list: entry plan from $39/month, approximately $109/month for a 10-room property. Little Hotelier is a SiteMinder product.
The $79 is the whole bill. It is flat, not per room: a 10-room guesthouse and a 50-room hotel on Professional pay the same $79 a month. There is no setup fee, no onboarding fee, no per-room charge and no per-booking commission — $0 to start, and the number on your invoice does not move because you added rooms.
One thing we will not claim: FluxPMS does not have a two-way channel manager. It imports OTA calendars over iCal, which is one-way — a booking taken on Booking.com or Airbnb blocks that room in FluxPMS so it cannot be sold twice, but rates are still set in each OTA extranet and nothing is pushed back automatically. If two-way OTA rate and availability sync is a requirement for your property today, that is a real reason to choose another vendor, and we would rather you knew it before the trial than after.
